Malaysia to Host The GBOB Challenge 2010 World Final

During the recent GBOB National Finals, GBOB Malaysia National Director Issa Rodriguez announced that GBOB Malaysia has secured the exclusive rights and official appointment from GBOB International Limited to host The GBOB Challenge 2010 World Final in Malaysia.
“This means that for the first time outside of London, the best bands from over 30 countries from around the world will come to Kuala Lumpur for the Olympics of Music. This will be a global event in Malaysia that will be the culmination of a series of qualifying heats and concerts held all over the world uniting thousands of international musicians and music fans from all parts of the globe. We expect a crowd of at least 10,000 during the music festival including bands’ followers, music enthusiasts, local and foreign music journalists, an international lineup of judges, industry professionals and domestic and foreign tourists from all countries represented in The GBOB Challenge from Asia, America, Australasia and Europe,” she expounded.
“Bringing together bands who have out bested other bands from their respective countries – from England to Malaysia and the USA to Australia – for the planet’s biggest live music contest, The GBOB Challenge 2010 World Final will be a musical showpiece that will turn world attention to KL,” she added.
Launched internationally in 2004, Malaysia has joined this annual competition for the third time this year and will hopefully prove itself worthy of the US$100,000.00 band development package prize and worldwide promotion at stake for the World Champion to be recognised the “Best New Band in the World.”
